Design Management Framework

Design management in this project is structured to ensure consistent, integrated, and compliant delivery of all architectural, mechanical, and electrical design activities across the full design lifecycle. Drawing upon the ten PMP knowledge areas, each management plan has been tailored to support phase-specific requirements and ensure stakeholder alignment, risk control, and quality assurance.

This comprehensive framework governs the design process from initiation through closing, establishing:

• Clear roles and responsibilities for design teams and stakeholders
• Milestone-based scheduling and coordination methods
• Resource and cost control aligned with contractual fee structures
• Quality assurance protocols across all phases
• Communication, procurement, and risk strategies that support accountability and proactive resolution

Every design management activity is grounded in the project’s Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), ensuring traceability of scope and clarity of deliverables for each discipline at every phase. In parallel, all procedures reflect obligations stated in the design agreement, including approval workflows, submission formats, staffing requirements, and compliance criteria.
